– Insidious –

In velvet shadow
And a cloak of stars
I hide
Among forever
Listening to a song
That never changes
Yet is never repeated.
Waiting
In madness
And morbid sanity,
Praying to gods
That never existed
For help
I do not need.
Catching my reflection
In clear obsidian
Only to shudder
Away from the
Terrifying beauty,
The insanity,
And the decay.
No longer remembering
Nor caring,
The sentry of eternity,
Outside time
And normality,
Butterflies in my hair,
Serpents at my feet.
I glide
Through treachery
Acid dripping
From my tongue
Begetting pools of
Dark magick
That drowns innocence
And reason
With passion
And desire.
